Polyurethane Protective Coatings:
|
They
are based on acrylic and polyester resins and an isocyanate
hardener. Color fastness, gloss retention, resistance against
UV radiation and reasonable resistance against weathering and
temperature changes are some of the main characteristics of
these products.
They are used as a clear coat or as a topcoat in a variety of industries
such as aviation, automotive, power plants, oil, gas and marine
industries,
offshore structures etc. They can be applied as a single coat or
on epoxy undercoats. Other properties of these coatings are good
adhesion, high hardness, reasonable flexibility and excellent
resistance to weathering. |

Applying of this product where exposed to strong chemicals
such as inorganic acids is not recommended. These products
are applied on a variety of substrates such as metal,
plastic, ABS, etc. Other grades based on Alkyd-Isocyanate
are also available which can be preferred with respect to the
cost and performance
