Industrial Vinyl Coatings:
|
They are formulated based
on low molecular weight vinyl resins which are commonly applied
as a topcoat on compatible mid-coats and primers. Resistance
against water, inorganic acids, alkalines, salts, oils and greases
(all in immersion condition) are some of the main properties
of these products. They have also good hardness, gloss
retention, impactability, and resistance against scratchingIn
order to increase adhesion to metal surfaces, wash primers
(based on polyvinyl butyral) are appliedin low thicknesses (less than 15 μm).
Wash primer increases adhesion of the next coating layers especially on aluminum and galvanized
substrates. |

30100

|
Vinyl topcoat
|
Saman 30100 has good resistance against acidic and
alkaline, and spillage of corrosive chemicals and also
shows reasonable weather resistance as well as resistance
against fresh and salt containing water. It can be used as
a top coat for tanks, bridges, chemical and
petrochemical plants, offshore and steel structures,
pipelines. For non-ferrous substrates, it is recommended
to apply it on a wash-primed surface.

32131

|
Wash primer
|
Saman 32131 is used as a pre-treatment coating on clean and
unpainted ferrous and non-ferrous substrates prior to
applying the next coating system in order to increase
adhesion and corrosion resistance. Applying it in high
thicknesses and continuous exposure of the film to high
temperatures exceeding 66 º C are not recommended.
