These products are based on Modified
Alkyd Resins and due to the modifying process they show better
performance compared to other Alkyds. Styrenated Alkyds are reasonably
fast drying They have good hardness, high resistance against
alkalines and also weathering resistance Alkyd Phenolic Paints
have high gloss, good gloss retention, durability and good resistance
against water and alkalines. They can be used for protecting
the metallic surfaces in industrial and chemical environments. Alkyd Silicone Paints
containing anticorrosive pigments are used as primers and those
with metallic pigments are applied as topcoat. They are used
for protecting the surfaces exposed to high temperatures up
to 250 ˚ C. Pipelines, storage tanks, chimneys, etc, can
be coated by these coatings.
